Film Photography vs Digital Photography.

One of my photography friend keeps on asking on when i will entering into DSLR era. He asking that because i was the only person who bring a film camera to the photography trip where others bring DSLR or at least a digital compact camera. I brought my LOMO Holga and 3 rolls of square format films to the trip.

All the photos that i taken from the sekinchan trip is either over exposure or shaken, feel abit sad about it. But at least i did learn something new from the bad experience. At least i know how to use bulb mode and neutral mode for exposure.

I can't even master the basic film photography technique at the mean time and i would like to explore more on the film camera. I am curious about how my lomo see the world, and feel very excited to wait for the photo to be develop. You can feel it on digital photography, this is the beauty of accidental photography. The end results might be different from what you capture in your mind.

Medium format film is expensive and only can take for 12 or 16 photos per film. I think of getting another 35mm Holga with the flash and tripod to practice and brush up my photography skills.

Lomo is like releasing new product every month, you never get bored of lomo camera and accessories, because there are plenty of new item in the market. And makes us spent up plenty of money too. Haa..

I feel surprise after i scan and edit the photo, there are coincident series of stories lay behind the photo, and makes me think of rename the group photo as AWAKENING JOURNEY.
